Երգ. է. 15. բցռ. ի կճէից Ոսկ. եփես. 782 (գրուած կճճեայ Սասն. էջ 65). կճեատարած «մար-մարով սալած» նորագիւտ Բ. մնաց. է. 3. կճեայարկ Անան. եկեղ.։ Յայտնի չէ թէ այս բոլորի արմատական ձևը ի՞նչ է, որովհետև կարող են նրանք գալ թէ՛ կիճ և թէ կուճ ձևից. բառարանների նշանակած կիճ ձևը չէ վկայուած. կայ միայն կուճ «մարմա-րիոն» Ոսկ. փիլիպ. ժ. 468 և Նիւս. երգ. (երկուսն էլ հայց. զկուճ, զկուճն), որից ե-րևում է որ կին ձևը սխալ ենթադրութիւն է։ -Յետնաբար ունինք և գրծ. կինճիւնք, կըն-ջիւք, կնջիւն, կճայովք, կճճայեօք, իբր «մո-գայիկի մանր քարերով» Անկ. գիրք հին կտ. էջ 153, 154, 172. Մարմարեայ կճայս ար-կանել յորմս. Ոսկ. ճառք 684. որից կճեայ-պաճոյճ «ակունքներով զարդարուած (պատ-մուճան)» Անկ. գիրք հին կտ. էջ 156։ Սրանց մէջ արմատն է կուն «մարմարիոն», որ սա-կայն շփոթուած է կինճ «մանր քար, խիճ» բառի հետ։ (Տե՛ս այս բառը առանձին)։-Նոր գրականում շինուած բառ է լուսակուն «սպիտակ և փայլուն մարմարիոն»։ Սրա-նի՞ց է արդեօք նաև ջրկիճ «շռնիճ, ըպրրխ» որ ունի Թորոսեան, Տետր. հմռ. բառարա-նի, 1794, էջ 24։ Brosset JAs. 1834, էջ 383 ևն խպտ. choich «աւազ» և քւշա բառերի հետ։ Հիւնք. գաճ բառից։ Աճառ. • = Ծագում է կուր «մակոյկ, նաւակ» (այ-սինքն «տաշտ») բառից և նշանակում է բուն «տաշտաւոր». ճիշտ նոյն ձևով են կազմուած պրս. ❇ lāk «տաշտ. 2. կրեայ», որ և [arabic word] lakpust «կրեայ» (բառացի «տաշ-տակռնակ»), լտ. testudo «կրեայ»՝ ծագած testu «պտուկ» բառից, գւռ. տաշտիկռնակ, կրեանկօտ «կրեայ»։ Այս ստուգաբանութիւ-նը ցոյց է տալիս, որ արմատը լինելով կուր, մասնիկ է այ. ուստի լաւագոյն գրչութիւնն է կրեայ, իբր «տաշտեայ, տաշտէ»։ Ձևափո-խութիւնը ճիշտ այնպէս է, ինչ. կարկուրեայ կամ կարկուրայ «նաւակ», կեռեայ, կեռայ, կիւռիայ «կայմ», և կամ կուճ «մարմարիոն» բառից կճեայ ՍԳր. յետոյ կճայ Ոսկ. ճառք։ Այսպէս նաև անդեղեայ-անդեղայ, արտո-րեայ-արտորայ, զրեայ-զրայ-զրեահ, խա բեբայ-խաբեբեայ, շափիւղայ-շափիւղեայ, քուեայ-քուայ-քուէ, և մանաւանդ միջերկրե-այ կամ միջերկրայ։ Ճիշտ այս վերջինի նը-ման կրեայ դարձել է կրայ։ Հայերէնի մէջ չկայ -իա, իայ վերջաւորութեամբ բառ. ռո-լոր այդպիսի բառերը օտար են. այսպէս ալելուիա, ալքիմիա, ախախիա, բրաբիայ, եթիա, զմիւռնիա, լուբիա, մանդիա, էնկո-միա, թեւելիա, կասիա, կեմետրիայ, կու-լուռիայ, մեսիա, ռաքիա, սկիտիա, պիւթիա, քիմիա. կամ սխալ գրչութեան և կամ յունա-բանութեան արդիւնք. այսպէս աղիայ, ըն-տանիայ, թոռնիայ, ստնդիայ՝ իմա ստնդե-այ։-Աճ։
