• «սարդի ոստայնի հիւքը», մէկ անգամ ունի Վեցօր. 121 (Եկեսցէ յարեսցէ ի տորգս սարդիոստայնի). ուրիշ վկայութիւն չկայ։ Նախնական իմաստը պէտք է դնել ո՛չ թէ «ցանց կամ հիւսք», այլ, ինչպէս տակի գաւառական ձևերից երևում է, «ոս-տայնանկի փայտեայ կազմած, ոստայն», որ յետոյ փոխաբերաբար անցել է սարդի ոս-տայնին։ Ըստ այսմ բառս դառնում է՝
