Բազմ. 1898, էջ 119) և Pedersen, Նը-պաստ էջ 2, որոնք նախաձայն վ-ի, մի-ջին ա-ի և նշանակութեան պատճառաւ եռանեան փոխառութիւն են համառում հալերէն բառը, և միւս կողմից Հիւբ» Arm. Gram. 494 և IF Anz. 10, 46, որ բնիկ է համարում, առարկելով թէ իրանեան vašn ձևը պիտի տար հյ. *վաշն և ո՛չ թէ վասն։ Վճռական մեկ-նութիւնը տալիս է Meillet MSL 17, 354 նորագիւտ մանիքէական գրուածք-ների մէջ գտնելով իրան. vasn-ձևը, որից ուղղակի փոխառեալ է հայր։
